WORKSHOP SESSION ONE 10:10-11:10 a.m.
Health: Somatic Movement
Join ACC Massage Therapy Program Coordinator, Katherine Brady, as she teaches attendees how to practice “Somatic Movement,” the practice of focusing on the feeling of movement to achieve a sense of calm. This practice is a helpful self-care tool that can be used while sitting at your desk or in the morning while preparing for the day.
Motivation: Women’s Leadership Panel
In 2023, Texas women accounted for 52% of managerial and professional jobs and only 29% of chief executive positions (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). Come to the Women’s Leadership Panel so you can get inspired by the journeys of local leaders in the nonprofit, business, and government spaces.
- Salwa Yordi is the Communications Director at Latinitas, an organization that empowers girls to innovate through media.
- Liliana Bueno owns and operates Empoderadas Gym in South Austin, a women’s gym that aims to empower women to achieve their fitness goals and make them feel safe.
- Kimberly Holiday serves her community in many ways, specifically through her seat on the Pflugerville City Council. Outside of this work, she is also a radio personality, motivational speaker, published author and restorative justice practitioner for unhoused youth.
Empowerment: Project Management for Your Life
Sometimes there are too many people, events, and commitments in life that can feel difficult to juggle, like working 8-5, coming home to cook, get the kids ready for bed, and preparing for tomorrow. Learn how to balance your life. Spend an hour with Ilyan Cantu from Con mi Madre, an organization empowering young Latinas and their mothers, as she teaches us how to balance our professional and personal commitments.

In this session, we will explore how women’s careers evolve across different life stages, using the healthcare workforce as a case study. Join ACC Associate Vice Chancellor of Health Sciences, Dr. Nina Almasy, as she shares personal experiences and insights on overcoming career challenges and balancing well-being. This presentation aims to empower women to navigate their professional journeys with resilience and confidence, offering practical strategies for career advancement and maintaining overall well-being.
Motivation: It’s Your Golden Hour
“It’s Your Golden Hour” is an engaging and highly interactive workshop created to inspire participants and unleash their potential to ignite positive change in the world. It’s Your Golden Hour is led by Ms. Icye, an enthusiastic millennial and social communication etiquette coach. This dynamic session is designed to elevate your energy and amplify your impact. If you’re ready to radiate and embrace your golden hour, this workshop is your gateway to transformation.
Empowerment: Rise and Thrive: Financial Success
Finances can seem looming and scary for women who are trying to go through the flow of life, but they don’t have to be! Join Stacy Dukes-Rhone, the CEO of BiGAUSTIN as she walks us through key aspects of financial “success” that can be implemented to help one reach their financial dreams.

Motivation: How to Stay Positive in a Negative Environment
Ready, Set, Go! Remember to take care of yourself. In today’s world, there is such a high demand for our time that sometimes we get so busy taking care of others that WE forget that WE are important too! During this session we will spend time getting to know each other, engaging in table talk conversations such as, “What can you do well”? “What three words describe you”? Also outline how we can make it happen and learn why quitting is not an option. Come and join me and be prepared to get ready, stay set and go!
Empowerment: Empower Your Presence: Building Your Personal Brand from Vision to Reality
In this engaging session, Career Services will explore the multifaceted layers of personal brand, examining how self-perception and outward presentation intersect. Learn strategies to identify and articulate your unique strengths, values, and passions. You’ll leave feeling empowered to project a confident and authentic image to the world.Presenting yourself to new people can be quite the challenge, but how we present ourselves can make or break how people choose to view us. If you have ever struggled with developing or refining your “brand,” join ACC Career Services ManagerTatiana Randolph, as she shares tips and tricks on identifying and creating your own unique personal brand.
