Emerging Adulthood, Health: Building Boundaries to Protect Your Peace
Presented By: Carla Pelcastre, LCSW-S, Second Wave Counseling
When you’re young, setting boundaries often starts with noticing the small moments that don’t feel right and learning to trust that feeling. The challenge may come in clearly stating your needs out loud or holding firm when others push back, while your strength might be in recognizing misalignment or knowing what you truly need. Practicing all four parts of the boundary process, identifying what feels off, clarifying your need, stating it clearly, and standing strong through backlash, helps you grow more confident and consistent in honoring yourself.
WORKSHOP TWO 11:20 a.m. - 12:20 p.m.
Health: Misdiagnosed and Misunderstood: Common Reproductive Health Issues
Presented by: Cynthia Brown, Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas
This workshop will focus on the nuts and bolts of two common health issues: Endometriosis and PCOS. More than just a heavy time of the month or painful bleeding. These issues can have a major impact on your everyday life and impact your fertility choices.
